Cameroon-The first day of the Youth Forum on Adaptive Finance in Africa (YOFAFA) organized by ACSEA and PACJA was a success

The forum brought together youth from different countries in Africa and was officially opened by the Minister of Environment, Nature Protection, and Sustainable Development of Cameroon, H.E. Pierre Hélé. This platform provided an opportunity to understand the importance of inclusive action in addressing climate change in our continent and the world.
In summary, the Paris Agreement on Climate Change recognizes the need for increased efforts to support climate adaptation in developing countries, particularly through financial support. Adaptive finance is a form of financial support that aims to make communities more resilient to the impacts of climate change. It includes approaches such as risk sharing, risk transfer, and innovative financing mechanisms. These approaches can help communities adapt to the increasing frequency and intensity of climate-related hazards, such as droughts, floods, and storms. The Paris Agreement calls for increased investments in adaptation, and the YOFAFA forum brought together youth from different countries to discuss how this can be implemented in Africa
