Non-communicable disease emergencies are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in low-resource settings. Most of the knowledge available today is derived from evidence obtained from advanced economic societies. Some of these practices are difficult to deliver in low-resource settings for various reasons. The aim of the seminar is to disseminate good and applicable medical practices in resource-limited settings. To foster the partnership betwveen healthcare professionals in the UK and in Cameroon and to develop a road map for future collaboration.

« It is with immense pride and exciternent that I welcome you to the inaugural CamDocUK medical conference here in Cameroon. As president of CamDocUK, an associatiorn that brings together medical doctors of Cameroonian origin working in the UK, I am honoured to witness this historic moment. Our conference focuses on a pressing and often overlooked challenge: non-communicable disease emergencies in low-resource settings. Non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer, are increasingly prevalent, especially in countries with limited healthcare infrastructure. These Conditions demand innovative practical approaches that leverage both local and international expertise. This is why I am so passionate about fostering collaboration and the exchange of information. By gathering medical professionals from diverse backarounds, we create an opportunity to share insights, learn from each other and build stronger, more resilient healthcare systems. I hope this conference serves as a platformn for knowledge exchange, professional growtn, and the development of meaningful solutions to the healthcare challenges facing Cameroon and other low-resource settings. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by non- communicable diseases ».
