Cameroon Nurses Association to Celebrate 25 Years of Nursing and Midwifery Excellence in Yaoundé

The Cameroon Nurses Association (CNA) will hold its 13th scientific conference and Silver Jubilee celebration on October 16 and 17, 2026, in Yaoundé, bringing together nursing professionals, midwives, students, hospital staff and health administrators to commemorate a quarter-century of commitment to healthcare.

The Cameroon Nurses Association is preparing to mark a significant milestone in its history, celebrating 25 years of dedication, professional development and service to the healthcare sector. The gathering will provide an opportunity for members to reflect on the organisation’s journey, recognise achievements and strengthen bonds among practitioners working in nursing and midwifery.
Although the event is associated with a scientific conference, the organisers emphasise that the anniversary is also intended as a celebration of the profession and its contribution to society. Nurse assistants, senior nurses, nursing and midwifery students, hospital personnel and health administrators are encouraged to participate in the festivities and share in this historic occasion.
The programme will also welcome international participation, with the president of the Nigeria and Ghana Nurses Association expected to attend. This presence is intended to contribute to professional exchanges and foster connections among healthcare practitioners beyond national borders, while highlighting the importance of collaboration in advancing nursing and midwifery practices.
As part of the scientific component, interested participants are invited to submit abstracts for presentations through the dedicated email address, cnaconference2026@gmail.com. Applicants are encouraged to consult the event flyer for additional information regarding participation and submission requirements. The initiative offers an opportunity for professionals and researchers to contribute to discussions on issues relevant to their field.

The Silver Jubilee celebration will bring together members of the nursing community around a shared history of commitment, service and achievement. Beyond commemorating the association’s past, the gathering will provide a moment to appreciate the people who have contributed to its development and to reaffirm the value of nursing and midwifery in healthcare delivery.
With the event approaching, the organisers are calling on the wider healthcare community to spread the invitation and encourage participation. Professionals and students are urged to join their colleagues in Yaoundé for the two-day gathering, which seeks to combine scientific engagement, professional networking and the celebration of a collective legacy.
